Shout out to Ken Horbelt and Anne Robertson May for getting this project done two weeks early, while still ensuring that every detail was perfect! Ken's quote came in well below the other builder's  quotes and came  with all the "bells and whistles" (pebble, high end pool equipment) that the other companies wanted to charge extra for. His attention to detail and desire to make everything perfect is a winning quality! He even made sure that the travertine and decking math the back of my house colors! We are using Ken Horbelt with Wildwood Outdoor Amenities. I chose him for several reasons 1) No BS … the other companies quoted me between $65-75k for a pool and hot tub using basic products - no upgrades and refused to give me a firm price, even after I gave them specifics of what I wanted (I’m sure because they were looking to nickel and dime me on all of the upgrades). Ken came in under their price with all of the upgrades already included. 2) Construction start date - Ken can have the pool built this Summer … no guarantees on when the other companies would complete it and the reviews stated that they waited months to start construction 3) he easily envisioned exactly what I wanted and had an idea sent over within hours - he is also really quick to respond … lastly, I could see the pride he takes in his work when we were discussing the layout. While the other company was adding charges for extra concrete, wanted to put the pool equipment right where the hot tub and seating area was and literally skimping on every detail, Ken insisted on making sure that the equipment was hidden and that there was adequate concrete around the pool … I am 100% confident that he will put as much hard work and pride into my backyard as he would put into his own backyard. Honestly, his integrity and attention to detail sold me. Plus, I am supporting a local, small business and a neighbor… so that makes it even better! I highly recommend him!

When you decide on a pool company please think about what happens after it is complete. Ken always is available to answer our questions,both by phone or in person. Since we are new pool owners we have plenty! He has been great to work with!! I would highly recommend Wildwood Outdoor Amenities!!
